One response to “Signs of the Times”
Here in Baltimore, the occupation is taking place at a busy intersection, and occupiers have been holding signs at the corner. We’ve gotten a huge number of supportive honks from passing drivers, especially taxi, truck, and bus drivers — demonstrating that, although the occupiers themselves represent a fairly small social layer (they’re mainly young, white, liberal/anarchist/bohemian types) the message of the occupation resonates with a very wide sector of the working class. The sign that’s probably been getting the most response simply reads “Honk If You’re Struggling”.
