Discussion of the draft Ecosocialist Manifesto from the Fourth International
PRESENTATION: Daniel Tanuro, agriculturalist and ecosocialist environmentalist, is the author of GREEN CAPITALISM: WHY IT CAN’T WORK (Resistance Books and the International Institute for Research and Education).
In preparation for the 2025 World Congress of the Fourth International, the FI has issued a draft Ecosocialist Manifesto on the urgency of an ecosocialist transformation for the future of humanity and our fellow species. Among other questions, the draft explores the controversial proposition of “degrowth” and how to achieve a future with a more joyful life without exploitation and the ceaseless drive for expanded accumulation that dictates capitalist production. Members and friends of Solidarity, along with comrades of several other organizations interested in Fourth International discussions, are invited to participate.
