The National Committee is convening a Zoom call for Solidarity members and sympathizers to share comrades’ experiences, perspectives and views about the current stage of the rising resistance to the Trump regime.
Given the carnage it has created and the emerging U.S. “constitutional crisis,” how might Solidarity contribute to the growth and political development of resistance struggles?
Here are a few preparatory questions we’d like to help begin our discussion on May 15:
* What dynamics have you seen in protest rallies and marches in your city or region? Who have been the leading organizing forces?
* How severe is the climate of fear affecting your city’s immigrant communities, campuses or the broader public?
* What are you seeing in terms of union involvement, or broader working-class presence, in the protest rallies? Which ones?
* What can Solidarity do to deepen our collective understand of, and response to, the Trump regime and the overall crisis? For example, what specific literature (print and online) do you think would be helpful?
This discussion will also help kick off preparations for the 2025 Solidarity national convention, which the NC is calling to be held online for the SEPTEMBER !2-14 WEEKEND.
