This section is meant to synthesize the prior conversations in the context of clarifying our future as an organization. The hope is that this conversation will result in a convergence of opinion that can be turned into a resolution for the convention by a committee created at this meeting. If there is not a convergence then the primary tendencies should craft proposals to be debated at the convention. We should also take up the question of forming a slate and the nature of Solidarity’s national committee.

THE SOLIDARITY LISTSERV

Written contributions on the Zoom call topics and others are encouraged on our listserv, open 24 hours, seven days a week. Contributions prior to a given call can help jump start discussion and contributions after a Zoom call can continue the discussions among us. Contributions to solidarity-members@lists.riseup.net

DUES PAYMENT AND CATCH-UP.

Solidarity’s constitutional requirement for voting eligibility is to be paid up in dues within three months of the convention (i.e. through May of this year). Now is the time to catch up on your dues if you’re in arrears! REMINDER: Solidarity is a member-financed socialist organization, not a foundation-funded NGO. We’re also not a collection agency: If your financial condition has been impacted by the pandemic and you need to adjust your dues pledge and reduce your balance due, please let us know (info@solidarity-us.org or cfc@igc.org) and we’ll make the necessary fixes. Payments can be made at https://solidarity-us.org/dues or, of course, by check to the national office (Solidarity, 7012 Michigan Avenue, Detroit MI 48210).

REMEMBER:
SAVE THE DATE(S)!
The Solidarity convention will be held August 20-22. Put that weekend on your calendar and save it
.

THE 2021 SOLIDARITY National Convention is coming this summer, pandemic be damned! It will be conducted via Zoom.

As we all know, we’re living in a moment of almost unparalleled challenges and at the same time, important openings for socialist and class-struggle politics. Let’s make the most of it!

In Solidarity,
National Committee
