Socialism and the Struggle for Queer Justice

The following video is from a talk given by Alan Sears at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN; the talk was sponsored by the Middle Tennessee branch of Solidarity. Alan Sears is a member of Toronto New Socialists and a Professor of Sociology at Ryerson University. He is author or co-author of several books, including his most recent, The Next New Left: A History of the Future, and a long time activist in the LGBTQ and Palestine solidarity movements. His essay "Queer in a Lean World" has been published as a Solidarity pamphlet.
